Aptmate is operated by Evu, LLC ("we"). This policy explains what we collect when you use aptmate.com and how we use it.
What we collect
- What you enter in the quiz: first name, email, city, budget range, move-in month, what you are looking for, and your lifestyle answers.
- Intro requests you send and receive.
- Basic technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address (to stop spam), the site that referred you, and the invite code you arrived with.
How we use it
- To score your compatibility with other members in the same city and show you matches.
- To show other compatible members an anonymous card with your first initial, roommate type, budget range, move-in month and shared traits.
- To share your first name and email with a member only when you and that member have both asked to meet.
- To contact you about your matches or about Aptmate. You can opt out at any time.
What we never do
We do not sell your data for advertising, and we never show your email or full name to anyone without a mutual intro.
Storage and deletion
Your data is stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. You can delete your profile at any time from your matches page, which removes your profile and intro requests immediately. You can also email us to request deletion or a copy of your data.
Business transfers
If Aptmate or Evu, LLC is acquired or its assets are transferred, member data may be transferred to the new owner, who will be bound by this policy for data collected under it.
Children
Aptmate is for adults 18 and older.
