We compare your answers with everyone looking in the same city and rank them out of 100. Dealbreakers like smoking or pet allergies are filtered out entirely.
Ask to meet, privately
Tap "Ask to meet" on anyone you like. If they ask to meet you too, you both see each other's first name and email. Nobody else does.
What the score weighs
Your compatibility score, out of 100.
Money and timing matter most, so they carry the most points. Lifestyle habits fill in the rest.
Dealbreakers remove a match instead of lowering it: a smoker is never shown to someone who answered "no smoking", and a pet owner is never shown to someone who can't live with pets.

Before you take the quiz
Is Aptmate free?
Yes. Taking the quiz, seeing matches and requesting intros are all free.
Who can see my profile?
Only people looking in the same city who score as compatible with you. They see your first initial, your roommate type, your budget range, move-in month and what you have in common. They never see your email or full name unless you both ask to meet.
How do intros work?
Tap "Ask to meet" on a match. If that person also asks to meet you, you'll both see each other's first name and email on your matches page. One-sided requests stay private.
What if nobody in my city has joined yet?
Your profile stays in the pool, and new people are scored against you as they join. Come back to your matches page any time, or share your invite link to grow the pool faster.
Can I delete my profile?
Yes. Use "Delete my profile" at the bottom of your matches page. Your profile and any intro requests are removed immediately.
Does Aptmate check people's identities?
No. Aptmate helps you find compatible people to talk to. Meet in public first, video-call before you sign anything, and never send money to someone you haven't met.
